"Undergrowth" Live Performance at Envelop Deep Listening Event
Matthew Hiram and Amy McNally perform "Undergrowth" – a meditative new composition blending cello, hulusi, and electronics. Captured live at the Envelop Deep Listening event. Video by Jesse Whitney.
I’m excited to share a recent highlight from our musical journey! Amy McNally and I had the privilege of performing at the Envelop Deep Listening event, and it was an unforgettable experience. Many thanks to Mirror Lab for hosting the event, and to Dave Eckblad for providing the beautiful custom PA system, which made the sound in the room truly incredible.
The evening was a perfect blend of immersive sound and creative expression, as we premiered a new composition, Undergrowth, in front of an engaged and appreciative audience. Special thanks to co-presenter Jesse Whitney, who recorded a hi-definition video of the full event. We’re thrilled to make the performance of Undergrowth available in its entirety on YouTube, offering a window into the music we've been working on together.
While this video is a raw but lovely capture of the performance, we’re currently working on proper studio recordings of our duo pieces, which we’ll be sharing in the near future. For now, enjoy this live version, which captures the essence of our collaborative process.
