Of This Earth: Curated Playlist & Inspirations Behind Green Green Earth

How do we discover music that speaks to us and supports the artists who create it?

As streaming platforms like Spotify continue to shape how we experience music, the relationship between artists and these platforms becomes increasingly complex. While Spotify offers easy access to music and a global audience, its payment model still undervalues the artists who create the content.

For me, connecting with listeners is paramount. While I prefer platforms that directly support artists, like Bandcamp, I understand that many people engage with music across various spaces. To share my work and the music that inspires it, I've been exploring new ways to curate listening experiences. YouTube has been a great platform for mixtape-style playlists, as seen in my Influence / Confluence Playlist. Now, I’m introducing Of This Earth, a new Spotify playlist inspired by my album, Green Green Earth.

This playlist offers 20 tracks of ambient, meditative, and nature-inspired music from artists who have deeply influenced my creative journey. Whether you’re looking for immersive soundscapes or music rooted in the rhythms of nature, Of This Earth provides a sonic window into the themes and textures that shape my work.

Why Spotify Matters (and How You Can Help)

While Spotify offers easy access to a vast world of music, some of the tracks on this playlist aren’t available on Bandcamp at all. For listeners, Spotify makes discovering new music simple. But for artists, platforms that allow direct support—such as Bandcamp, physical releases, or live performances—have a much greater impact on their sustainability. Of This Earth exists to help bridge these two worlds: I want you to explore the vast music Spotify makes possible while also supporting creators through more direct channels.
