Deep Blue Sea: Ocean-Inspired Ambient Soundscapes
Exploring the Ocean’s Soundscapes: A Playlist for Deep Reflection
The ocean has long been a muse for ambient music, inspiring countless artists with its vast, elemental presence. As I prepare to release my environmental field recording project, Earth Speaks, I’ve been reflecting on how the sea’s rhythms and mysteries echo through soundscapes worldwide.
The ocean is more than a theme—it’s a muse. Its immense depth and movement mirror life itself, reminding us of interconnectedness and inviting a sense of awe. No wonder it’s been a cornerstone for ambient music.
Inspired by these thoughts, I started gathering a collection of ocean-inspired tracks—both classics and contemporary pieces. After asking for suggestions on BlueSky, the playlist came together beautifully, and I’m happy to share it with you.
