About the Track:
A sonic threshold, Solstice Song is an invitation into deep listening—a ritual in sound where darkness dissolves into returning light. Recorded live at the base of a frozen waterfall, this eight-minute composition captures the stillness and quiet transformation of the shift of seasons.
The ceaseless flow of water, the fragile shimmer of Koshi Bamboo “Snow” chimes, and the grounding resonance of brass bells create a world suspended in time—rooted in place yet expansive, like a leaf in midair.
Timed to close its own cycle, Solstice Song emerges on the Vernal Equinox, mirroring the renewal of balance and light.
Mastered by James Bernard at Ambient Mountain House and released by PermaCulture Media, this work continues Hiram’s evolving exploration of sound as an ecological dialogue—where music and landscape converge, and time slows to a crawl.
